Questions
Everything people ask before they walk
- How much does a tour cost?
- Most of our walks are free to join. At the end you decide what the experience was worth to you and tip the guide directly. A few specialist walks carry a fixed price, which is always shown on the tour page.
- How big are the groups?
- We cap groups at 25 people, and most walks run far smaller. From 15 guests a second guide joins so nobody is left at the back.
- Which languages do you run tours in?
- English and Spanish. Let us know which you prefer when you reserve and we will match you with the right guide.
- Do I need to book in advance?
- Yes, please reserve online so the guide knows how many people to expect. Reservations close shortly before departure.
- Where do we meet?
- Each tour page shows the exact meeting point with a map and an Open in Maps link. Your guide carries an orange Tokyo Xplorers flag. Arrive about 10 minutes early.
- What if it rains?
- Tokyo walks run in light rain — bring an umbrella, they are sold on every corner. If the weather turns genuinely unsafe we contact you and reschedule.
- Can I cancel?
- Any time, free of charge. Use the cancellation link in your confirmation email or the Manage a reservation page.
- Are the tours suitable for children?
- Most are. Walks cover three to six kilometres at a relaxed pace with regular stops. Tell us the ages in the booking note and the guide will adapt.
